Risk radar
A risk radar is a standing list of named risks, each described by its likely impact, how likely it is in graded words, its direction of travel and a written reason it matters, so a reader can see what could change the picture.

Illustrative example; the risk is fictional. A radar entry names disruption to shipping through a key strait. It carries an impact and a likelihood in graded words rather than percentages, a trend of rising, and a paragraph explaining the mechanism: higher freight and insurance costs feeding into energy prices. A team reading it in the morning does not treat the entry as a forecast. They check which holdings the mechanism would touch, such as businesses that depend on imported energy, and watch the trend. If it moves to stable or falling in later editions, the change is visible in the record rather than left to memory.
