Yes — on 11 August the brief set a test in writing and named the observation that would settle it, then reported the result: the crossing survived, and the second nominated test fired too.

On 11 August the odds of the strait reopening and the odds of it staying shut had just crossed. The brief noted that the same lines had crossed once at the start of the month and reversed within a session, and wrote that this crossing had to survive the same test before it meant anything. It survived — the mark has since held for four consecutive sessions at 0.545.
The second test was set on 10 August, when the brief named the American crude-inventory band as the observation that would separate a physical closure from a headline, and noted that it had not moved. It has since roughly tripled, to 0.430 from 0.140.
The value of setting tests in advance is that it makes a miss legible. Both the falsifiers and the confirmations are published with dates, so the record can be read rather than asserted.
