How long do you have to oppose?

Every office runs a different clock, and a third of them start it at a different event. We publish all twenty with the governing provision — the same rules our deadline engine computes from. See every opposition window →

Questions

The honest answers.

Which registers do you check?

The EU, the US, the UK and Switzerland — plus Canada, Singapore, Israel, Chile, Spain, Austria, France and many others: coverage reaching 70+ trademark offices worldwide, refreshed every day. Every report names exactly which registers it screened — you never take coverage on faith.

Where does the intelligence come from?

Mostly from the registers — but not the way you’d guess. The strongest read on a holder comes from their own filing record across every office we cover: how much of their book they let lapse, whether their marks cluster where they trade or spray across unrelated classes, whether filings arrive one at a time or fifty in a morning. That works for every holder, including the shell companies and private individuals most squatters file under. On top of it, corporate identity resolves through the LSEG PermID graph — the identifier spine the financial industry runs on — when the holder is a company that graph knows. Facts with provenance, ready for your counsel.

Is this legal advice?

No. Antevo is intelligence — it tells you what’s happening and who’s behind it, and prepares the packet your counsel will use. Your trademark lawyer acts on it. That line matters, and we keep it.

What does “watch a name” actually do?

We check the register every day for new filings similar to yours and flag anything close — with a similarity score and who filed it — the day it lands.

Do you track deadlines — oppositions and renewals?

Oppositions, yes, and we tell you which kind of answer you’re getting. Where we hold the office’s publication date and the office’s window is pinned to its statute — the EU is the clearest case — you get a date and a countdown. Where a filing is still in examination we say so and watch for it to publish; where a window has already closed we tell you the route is now cancellation, not opposition. We would rather say “we can’t date this one, treat it as live” than invent a deadline. Renewals depend on the office publishing an expiry date, and many — including the EU, UK and US registers — don’t publish one in the data we mirror; where they do, we count down to it. Your counsel confirms every date before you act on it.

How fast will I know?

Same day. A new filing near your name is flagged as soon as it appears in the register feed — while the opposition window is still wide open.

Can you file an opposition for me?

We prepare a counsel-ready packet — the facts, the balance of the case, the deadline. Your lawyer files it. We watch and arm; they act.

Do I need an account?

Not for the free clearance check. Watching a name and the deeper intelligence need a free account.
